St. Petersburg to Host Russia's Largest Paper and Forestry Event

St. Petersburg, Russia, October 17, 2005 - E.J. Krause, in conjunction with the only major exhibition facility in St. Petersburg, Lenexpo, will organize Russia's largest and longest running event for Russia's paper and forestry industries in 2006. EJK and Lenexpo have announced a long term exclusive agreement to produce PAP-FOR every two years, starting in 2006, at the Lenexpo Exhibition Center.

This exhibition and conference has grown continually with the growth of Russia's paper-related industry. A record number of companies have already contracted for the November 21 through November 24, 2006 exhibition.

This event is a perfect opportunity for top level buyers to meet with the leading companies from the industry such as ABB, Andritz, BASF, Cellwood, Degussa, Elof Hansson, FAG, KOERBER Paperlink, Kugelfischer, Honeywell, Ilim Pulp, Jaakko Poyry, Metso, Sulzer Pumps, Voith and purchase their products and services related to all of Russia's paper related industries.

Russia has a population of around 146 million people, hungry for goods and currently consuming little paper and board. Per capita consumption is only around 30 kg, compared to the EU average of over 200 kg.

This is one of the reasons why the demand for PAP-FOR RUSSIA 2006 space is much stronger than in the previous 2004 event. The pulp, paper and board industry in Russia is currently developing extremely quickly, commented John Gallagher, SVP, in a recent press conference that took place during CHINA PAPER, another event related to the pulp and paper industry, which is also owned and managed by E.J.
