Homeland Security Industries Association and E.J. Krause & Associates
team up to extend U.S. homeland security interests globally.

Washington, D.C. and Bethesda, MD, November 26, 2002 - U.S. companies and other organizations interested in homeland security issues and concerns will have a new global platform for discussion and solution sharing under an agreement announced today between the Washington, DC-based Homeland Securities Industries Association (HSIA) and Bethesda, Maryland headquartered E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc. (EJK), according to officials of both groups.

Under the agreement, EJK, one of the world's largest privately-held exhibition and conference management firms, will include HSIA as a co-sponsor of its homeland security events in North America, Europe and Asia. The arrangement will afford HSIA members opportunities to participate in homeland security-focused seminars and symposia both as featured speakers and as preferred exhibitors.

"This business agreement will permit HSIA and EJK to combine resources and expertise to establish an international forum for private and public sector organizations around the world to exchange and manage the knowledge and the technology of fighting global terrorism. There is no such forum currently, and we are confident that the cooperation between our two organizations will deliver tangible homeland security benefits to millions," said Bruce Aitken, Co-chair of the Washington, DC-based law firm of Aitken Irvin Berlin and Vrooman and HSIA President.

"HSIA is fast becoming the leading private sector resource for homeland security expertise, experience, and liaison to federal, state and government entities dealing with the business of homeland security. E.J. Krause believes that this cooperation with HSIA will augur well for extending a broader understanding of the importance and scope of U.S. homeland security programs to government and corporate interests in other countries. In our minds, that can only be productive for our country and for our allies," commented Michael Rosenberg, Vice President of EJK's security division.

EJK produces more than 60 events in 13 countries and recently sponsored the U.S. Maritime Expo and Conference in New York and the Second Annual Global Conference and Expo on Nuclear, Bio and Chemical Terrorism in Washington, DC. The firm is planning homeland defense conferences and exhibitions in Europe, Latin America, and in Asia in coming months.

"One of the components of HSIA's mission is to provide its members with networking opportunities so that they can partner and form alliances in fulfilling U.S. government homeland security contracts and ultimately protecting the American people. In working with E.J. Krause, we intend to build networking bridges with international resources and in doing so, tap as much knowledge as possible," Mr. Aitken explained.

The agreement is effective immediately and kicks off with EJK's Pipeline Security Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C., scheduled for May 22-23, 2003.
